“Where am I?” John asked. Surora answered, “Right where you have always been. Why?” John looked around, searching the empty space where the station should have been. “Then why don’t I see everyone? Where are Jere and Tim? Where is the train station and the platform?”

“John, I know what I see. Tell me, what do you see?”

“Surora, I see nothing but rolling hills and grasslands. A path winds between the hills. It looks like only a dirt path, but I can’t see where it goes beyond that first bend. It feels familiar somehow, but I don’t know why.”

“John, then let’s go for a walk. Take a deep breath, then step forward.”

“Surora, I see the path, but what’s with all the light? It seems as if everything is fading. My chest feels tight. Am I dying? Is this how it happens? Everything just fades away?”

“John, take a second here. No, you’re not dying, but something is happening. Tim has made the jump and so has Jere. It’s happening to you now.” Surora let the words settle before she continued. “I can tell you this is what I see all the time. I see a little more of the outlines of objects than you will see just yet. It takes a little time—not for your eyes, but for your brain to tell your little self that this is what is real. You’ll get it quickly. Actually, I can already see that you have. Now let me guide you as you walk. Yes, go ahead and keep walking. There is more for you to see.”

“Surora, I still see sparkles twinkling through it all like a starlit night sky. Yet I don’t see what I think should be grass, brush, or trees. I see light in the forms of things, but it’s just light.” John slowed, staring at the glow around him. “There’s a softness to most of it—a gentleness, like a blanket around it, keeping it safe and warming it. That doesn’t even make sense. How can light surround me like a blanket?”

“Because, John, the light is made of nothing but Love. What you see is Love manifest.” John glanced at the glowing shapes around him, trying to hold the thought in his mind. “It is the Father/Spirit of us all—more like His radiant self, and even this is not His pure form. But there is nothing that is not Him. What you are beginning to see, John, is how God made all of this from His essence. This is how He appeared from a burning bush without consuming the bush. It is Love—light—that humans interpret as fire because there is no concept that can contain Father/Spirit in human experience. Not yet anyway. That, too, will change eventually. For now, this is how we experience pure Love. We perceive it as light in various frequencies. You see the more concentrated Love as brighter spots of light, even though Love is all of it. It is how humans process what it is.”

“You see, John, Love is energy moving, combining, separating, and coming back together constantly in all the forms you see and experience. It’s in the feelings, the thoughts, and the light you see—or actually perceive. It’s all Love.”

For a moment, Surora was quiet within him before continuing.

“Our Father/Spirit chose to have us lose that connectedness for short durations so we could experience the depth of a joy that knows no bounds. A Love that transcends everything. Coming home to him allows us to see it strongly, more solidly than if we hadn’t experienced a moment where we didn’t feel it. It gave us perspective—a view from a different point than absolute center.”

“The greatest gift we could ever receive is the experience of feeling Love. Having not felt it for a moment would feel like an eternity anyway. I know because it happened to me. I was once human like you are now, but I waited until what you call death of the body to feel like I was coming home to Love again. It’s not a feeling I have any desire to repeat.”

“So I am here with you. I am walking this path with you to offer support should you need it, and to provide guidance if necessary. But so far, all you have needed from me is reassurance. That, too, is a good thing.”

“Surora, thank you for explaining this to me, but what am I supposed to do with it? I can’t explain the unexplainable to anyone when I can’t even put it into words. I mean, I know what I feel. I know what I now see. I don’t know how to share this so that anyone will understand it. What do I tell others? I feel the ground beneath my feet as solid, but what I see is light. It feels as though it should be translucent, as though I should fall through it because it is not really real. Then I don’t know what to think.”

“John, don’t think. Feel. Stop thinking and just feel what you are feeling. I know the feeling is here. I can feel it, too. It is in you. You do not think with your brain. You think with your mind. Your mind is Consciousness—the thinker thinking the thought. Your brain is a translator from your mind to your body, which interacts with the environment. It is all tied together, each part performing a different but necessary function for this experience to be had. Stay with me here.”

“This may sound complicated when you’re on the other side of it. God made all this so He could experience His creation through us—all of us: plants, animals, stars, planets, and other people. All the things humans are discovering—take note of this, discovering, not creating—are part of God still being God. He created a way for Himself to experience His creation by creating us. He can experience it through us. By doing this through us, He experiences it in a much richer, fuller way. He ‘lives’ it, too, through us. He feels the infinite possibilities that exist through what and how we experience this creation. We are not separate from God/Spirit at any time. We just are not consciously aware of His Presence. That is His design, which maximizes His experience and yours. He loves us and created us as part of Him. We think, we feel, and we do because He made us to think, feel, and do with Him, for Him. The gift is that we get to do it consciously, so we remember, too. We continue to evolve as we do because He continues to expand through what we continue to experience.”

“Surora, I oddly understand and so I ask, now what? What’s next? Where do I go?”

“John, you are going to reacquaint yourself with the station you never left. Close your eyes for a moment and then open them just like that. Now what do you see?”

“I see the platform, the station and the people. How can that be? No, never mind, I know that answer. With Father/Spirit all things are possible. Now what Surora?”

“When Tim and Jere return you can ask them.”
